Privacy Policy

Cubby Notch is built to be private. It collects nothing, sends nothing, and needs no account. Everything you stash stays on your Mac.

The short version

Cubby Notch has no servers and makes no network requests of its own. There is no account to create, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is tracked. The data you put in the tray lives only on your Mac, under your control.

Information we collect

None. Cubby Notch does not collect, transmit, or sell personal information. There is no analytics, no advertising, no usage tracking, and no telemetry that is sent automatically.

Files and items you stash

Files you drag into the notch are held as local references and data on your Mac so you can drag them back out. They are never uploaded. Staged items can persist across restarts if you choose, and you can clear them at any time.

Clipboard history

Recent Clips is optional. The clipboard is read only while you have clipboard history turned on, and the captured text and images are stored locally on your Mac. You can set clips to auto-clear after 1, 8, or 24 hours, clear them manually, or turn clipboard history off entirely.

Diagnostics

Any diagnostic information stays on this Mac and is never sent automatically. If you ever choose to email support, you decide exactly what to include.

Third parties

There are none. Cubby Notch contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, trackers, or cloud services. This website is static and loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or trackers either.

Children

Cubby Notch is safe for users of any age because it collects no personal data from anyone.

Your choices and rights

Because Cubby Notch collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. All of your data is local: you can view it in the tray, clear it from within the app, and removing the app removes its data from your Mac.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
